Natural Gas Stories - Google Docs Ron Wagner ronwagnersrants.blogspot.com
Natural gas is the future of energy. It is replacing dirty and dangerous coal and nuclear plants. It is producing the electricity for electric cars. It will directly fuel pickup trucks, vans, buses, long haul trucks, dump trucks, locomotives, aircraft, ships etc. It will help keep us out of needless wars that cost American lives, and money. Thanks Luigi. I am trying to get the word out. I don't want the greenies to stop the best thing to come along in my lifetime.
I just found your comment. I am just starting to learn how to promote my blog.
All the best,
Ron
In reply to Gadfly: I don't know where you are getting your info but our home has a CHP "Combined Heat and Power System and we have reduced our natural gas consumption by at least 50%. The EPA carbon calculator has our Natural Gas CHP system reducing the equivalence of over 25 vehicles from the road and planting many trees. Its natural gas and it produces Kwh’s at the same time it produces heat for the home. That reduces the demand on our local coal fired central utility.
Hurricane Sandy has increased thinking about combined heat and power CHP. It is great for many purposes. It will need to be changed to combined heating, cooling, and power since natural gas air conditioning will be making great progress soon. CHAP

I was under the impression that natural gas was to be the backup fuel for gas stations in NY and NJ, and have even commented on wsj.com about this, but I am not sure now after more reading. Any idea what is happening with this, since natural gas supply lines are buried and therefore are more likely to survive a storm than electricity. And won't run out like diesel.

Pat and Larry,Natural gas is a good idea for backup generators where there is piped gas, for sure. They sell them for homes too.
I hope they go that route. I would require it for flood prone areas everywhere.
I would like it in silver, with a clear coat. Silver is way cheaper!
I don't think the increased use of Natural Gas has kept us out of our current confrontation with North Korea. Oil was a distraction in the Middle East, but if everyone goes nuclear power than energy is off the table.
Ron, I just found your blog this morning through another site reference. I found it interesting so I read a bit. Natural gas is good but I don't agree with you that it is the future. I can't see it in space at all. Nuclear energy works here on earth and throughout deep space. Solar also works in space with the same limits it has on earch. No sun, no energy.
